Nitanshi Goel Is Mamonde’s First India Ambassador
The Laapataa Ladies star fronts the Amorepacific-owned Korean skincare label as it builds its India presence through Nykaa.

Korean skincare now has a new Indian face. Nitanshi Goel, whose breakout performance in Laapataa Ladies made her one of Hindi cinema’s most talked-about newcomers, has been named the first India brand ambassador for Mamonde, the Korean beauty label from the Amorepacific Group.
The announcement marks a deeper push into India for the brand, which launched in the country exclusively on Nykaa in August 2026. Where it entered with products, it now arrives with a face — and that face is deliberately local.
The bet on a relatable star
Instead of borrowing a global celebrity, Mamonde has chosen an actor Indian audiences already feel they know. Goel’s charm and natural screen presence in Laapataa Ladies won her younger viewers, the same audience the brand wants to reach.
“India’s beauty consumers are evolving quickly, and the relevance of Korean beauty among young people continues to grow,” said Paul Lee, Managing Director and Country Head, Amorepacific India. “Nitanshi’s youthful energy and relatability make her the ideal face to introduce Mamonde to the next generation of beauty consumers.”
Lee framed the signing as a long-term play rather than a one-off endorsement, calling it a “long-term commitment to building Mamonde into a strong Korean skincare brand in India.” He also stressed the label’s “accessible price points,” which matter in a market crowded with Indian and international options.
A philosophy, not just a product line
At the centre of the partnership is Mamonde’s “Let Your Skin Bloom” philosophy: beauty is never one-size-fits-all, and just as flowers bloom differently, every person’s skin has its own needs.
“What drew me to the brand is how it combines Korean skincare innovation with a message that feels personal,” Goel said. “Everyone’s skin is different, and skincare should be about discovering what makes you feel your best.”
The ranges to know
The products are built around concerns rather than buzz, which fits the K-beauty playbook of targeted, benefit-led formulas:
- Rose HA — a serum and sunscreen for hydration and a dewy, plump glow.
- Peony BHA — a serum and sunscreen for pore care and excess sebum, with UV protection.
- Liquid Mask — a leave-on formula for gentle exfoliation and glow.
Mini Sood Banerjee, Deputy Director at Amorepacific India, said the team wants to make discovering those products “an exciting experience for India’s young beauty community,” through campaigns and conversations that feel native to how younger shoppers move between Nykaa reviews, Instagram reels and their own routines.
Why this matters
K-beauty has been a quiet winner with young Indian shoppers for years, but most global labels still lean on imported celebrities. Mamonde’s move — signing a homegrown star early in her career — signals that the next wave of K-beauty marketing in India will be local, conversational and youth-first.
For Goel, it is also a smart sideways step. A beauty deal this early suggests her team is thinking beyond film releases, building a broader presence while her next projects take shape.
For readers, it is a name you will now meet on shelves and screens: the first Mamonde India campaigns featuring Goel should roll out on Nykaa and the brand’s social channels in the coming weeks.
