Alia Bhatt’s Mallorca Trip Was a Private Residence, Not a Hotel

Alia Bhatt and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor holidayed in Mallorca in a private Moritz Luxe Residence with chef, butler, chauffeur and yacht services.

Alia Bhatt Swapped a Hotel for a Private Residence in Mallorca

Alia Bhatt has taken a quick break from her filming calendar, and this time she skipped the hotel. The actor holidayed in Mallorca with close friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and their circle, checking into a private Moritz Luxe Residence instead of a conventional property.

A quieter way to holiday

Akansha shared the trip on Instagram, posting the kind of visuals fans expect from a Mediterranean summer: blue water, narrow streets, greenery and candid group photos. One set was captioned “this and nothing else,” while another read, “somewhere between our dream villa @moritzluxeresidences and Mallorca’s little hidden gems.”

The residence came with a support system that made the break feel effortless:

  • A private chef and butler service
  • Chauffeured transport across the island
  • A private yacht charter for the group

The format meant the friends could stay in their own space rather than moving through a hotel lobby, while still getting curated services on call.

The private-residence shift

The stay was facilitated by A51 Collective, the India representation partner for Moritz Luxe Residences. The brand has properties across Mallorca, St. Moritz, Mauritius, Mykonos and the French Riviera. That partnership matters: it connects Indian luxury travellers and advisors with a private-stay option that sits somewhere between a villa rental and a full-service hotel.

The Mallorca trip reflects what many high-end travellers now ask for — space and discretion without giving up the service layer. A traditional hotel itinerary is built around the property; a residence itinerary is built around the group, with staff and excursions fitted to its rhythm.

This is not a new category, but Bollywood’s visibility is accelerating it. When Alia and Akansha document a residence stay, the format reaches an audience that may previously have assumed a five-star hotel was the default for a star holiday.

Alia’s work diary is still stacked

The break sits between major projects. Alia is attached to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, with a theatrical release scheduled for January 2027. She is also set to enter the world of Tumbbad with Tumbbad 2, adding a folk-horror franchise to her slate.

Akansha, meanwhile, continued to document the holiday for her followers, giving fans a quiet look at the friend circle away from red carpets and promotions.
