Jimin, a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, updated his health on the band’s fan community website Weverse, assuring his followers that he will be “discharged from hospital soon.”

According to Korea JoongAng Daily, Jimin posted his first message since surgery on Weverse on Thursday, stating he was “sorry to cause concern” to followers and that he was “on the path to a rapid recovery.” “Please hold your horses for a bit.” He went on to say, “I’ll recuperate quickly and return.”

On January 31, the 26-year-old singer underwent surgery for acute appendicitis and tested positive with COVID-19. The singer was “experiencing a little sore throat but is making a quick recovery, and had no contact with the other members during the contagious stage,” according to BTS’ agency BigHit Music.

Earlier this week, Jimin’s close buddy and fellow group member Kim Tae Hyung, nicknamed V, tweeted a handful of nostalgic photos with his ‘loving family.’ V is seen snapping a selfie with Jimin in the first photo. The singer can also be seen standing with his other members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and Jungkook in another photo.

Meanwhile, BTS is presently on hiatus following their sold-out four-day show at SoFi Stadium.
