Sikandar Khanna helmed the 1975 Bollywood movie Zinda Dil. Rishi Kapoor, Rajesh Leher, as well as Neetu Singh, play major roles in the movie.
This is really a tale about two brothers as well as their father. The siblings are Arun Sharma (Rishi Kapoor) and Kewal Sharma (Actor Rajesh Leher, a look-alike of Rishi Kapoor who already starred in Rajshri Productions’ movie Subh Din), and the father is Major Hemraj Sharma (Pran), a former soldier who’s become handicapped within last war and now walks on crutches. Although the Major has a soft spot for Kewal, he openly disapproves of Arun, distancing him.
He begs Arun to make compromises for Kewal all the time, especially having to give up his beloved, Rekha (Zaheera). Arun, who is devastated, leaves his father’s house and runs into an old colleague, Jyoti, whom he had stopped from attempting suicide (Neetu Singh). Jyoti arranges for Arun to work in her father’s (Pinchoo Kapoor) hotel, Diwan Pratap chand. Arun is approached by a hotel waiter, who informs him about his mom is still living. Arun is taken aback by this and begs his mother to join him to his dad’s house to face him. Was Arun’s father truly cold-hearted enough to abandon his spouse and maintain this information hidden from their children?
