A sequel to the popular 2012 film Oh My God is being considered. According to reports Akshay Kumar’s Oh My God 2 will star Yami Gautam in the female lead. Veteran actor Pankaj Tripathi will also be a part of the movie. Pankaj’s character would be similar to that of Paresh Rawal in OMG.
In 2012 the prequel starred Paresh Rawal as a common man and Akshay Kumar played the role of a God. In OMG2 the concept will be the same but the story will be different. The life of Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam will need divine intervention which will be played by Akshay Kumar.
Oh My God 2 is an Ashwin Varde production, directed by Amit Rai. Rai has earlier directed Road To Sangam and a short film on sanitary pads titled I Pad. Amit Rai is looking forward to this project as there is an interesting star cast and an entertaining story.
Yami Gautam and Akshay Kumar will work together for the first time on the big screen. The prequel had a hit dance number titled Go Go Govinda by Sonakshi Sinha and Prabhudheva. It is to be seen whether OMG 2 will get another duo to shake a leg for the film.
