Who is the box office king in the world?

by Palak Goyal
Salman Khan

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who is in the showbiz industry for more than three decades has delivered several highest-grossing films, a milestone for most of the artists in the history of Indian cinema. Some films prove that Salman is the real box office king.

‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun…!’ was his first entry into the 100 crore club. This was the first Hindi film to reach a global audience of more than one billion people. Following this, Salman’s charming appeal has helped him break numerous box office records. Years ago, the actor enthralled moviegoers once more with ‘Dabangg.’ The movie was indeed the treat for all those who enjoy the pleasures of a mainstream masala film. With such a total gross of Rs 215 crore, the film was a huge success not just in India but is also around the world!

After ‘Dabangg,’ Salman and Asin’s comedy-drama film, ‘Ready’ became the second-largest opening day earning Bollywood film, and also the 2nd largest weekends grossing Hindi film.

The audience milled, cheered, and became nearly frantic as Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’ instilled all the necessary elements for crowds to mill, scream, and become nearly frantic. This basically translates to a rising Salman, a pelvic-pushing star, a mischievous actor, a human storm superstar, a cutesy and, perhaps, a shirtless Salman. As a response, the picture debuted to a rousing reception at the box office, with “100 percent occupancy throughout shows,” according to the studio. In India, the movie grossed a total of $25 million by the conclusion of its run.

‘Ek Tha Tiger’ was much more evolved as well as entertaining. Salman is Bollywood’s response to Spider-Man, Superman, as well as Batman, because of his incredible acrobatics. Without cracking a sweat, his legendary secret agent avatars hunt the globe for the nation’s adversaries and dispatches people to the devil! Its film debuted to extraordinarily strong box office performance, earning it the title of “Blockbuster” from Box Office India. It was Yash Raj’s most successful premiere, and it went on to become the third-largest Bollywood movie of all time. The previous Katrina-Salman romantic film grossed Rs 310 crore worldwide.
