Alia Bhatt is now enjoying the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi, her most recent film. Her new look has been well received by fans, who praised her performance in Sanjay Leela Bansali’s flick. Alia Bhatt’s sister and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt said in a recent interview with a news portal that she saw the film’s first-day premiere and heard people whistling in the theatre.
Pooja, in an interview with Aaj Tak, remarked, “Usually, you don’t expect multiplex audiences to whistle and shout, but while watching Gangubai, I heard whistles, screams, yelling in the theatre.” Pooja said that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film proved that Alia has “hit the mark and how” and added that “Alia was a girl, and now, she is a woman and she is dazzling.”
In a recent interview, Sanjay Leela Bhansali stated that Alia’s performance in the movie will be remembered for the next 50 to 100 years. SLB went on to say that her performance inside the movie would be the fourth in the same league that he would mention. “Here is a girl who is taking a whole film on her shoulder,” he said.
Alia Bhatt will make her Hollywood debut in the Netflix original ‘Heart of Stone,’ with A-listers Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. Tom Harper is reportedly directing ‘Heart of Stone,’ with Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder penning the storey. The film is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger of Skydance, as well as Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn of Mockingbird and Gadot and Jaron Varsano of Pilot Wave.
Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, just concluded the Delhi schedule for Karan Johar’s movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, in which she co-stars with Ranveer Singh. The film also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan, in addition to Alia and Ranveer.
