In the year 2016, Poonam Pandey clarified this at the premiere of Ram Gopal Varma’s film Veerappan. During the interaction with the media, she was asked to keep herself away from the controversies. On this Poonam Pandey had said, “I was about to announce my film but this week. So it was quiet. Thought why did, I take a step back from some controversies… I am not Sati Savitri, because it does not suit me.’
Poonam Pandey has broken her silence after the arrest of Raj Kundra in the pornography case. She expressed sympathy for Shilpa Shetty, as well as disclosed the complaint made against Raj. She said, “At this time, I am sad for Shilpa Shetty and her children. I can’t even imagine what conditions Shilpa must be going through.”
“So I will not use this opportunity to highlight my trauma. Just one thing I would like to say that in the year 2019, I had filed a police complaint against Raj Kundra. Along with this, a case of theft and fraud was also filed against Raj Kundra in the Bombay High Court. Right now this matter is in court, so I would like to talk less on it. I have full faith in our police and judicial system,” Poonam said.
