SonyLIV, India’s fifth-largest pay-television broadcaster, has all the entertainment Bollywood movies needs covered, whether that’s your favourite old school Indian television show or an edgy web series on Harshad Mehta’s 1992 stock market swindle. Sling Television (Sling TV), which itself is managed by DISH Network Corp., is the only way to get SonyLIV in the United States.

Customers of DISH Network and Sling TV inside the United States may now watch on-demand Bollywood as well as American movies and series on SonyLIV, one of India’s most popular streaming services. Exclusive programming is now available to US audiences upon that SonyLIV platform, which has already achieved over 100 million downloads in India.

The international portfolio comprises 20,000 episodes that are accessible for free to any Dish Network members with $30 or more bundles. Subscribers who pay $30 or more per month for just a plan that includes the SET linear service get SonyLIV for free.

In an interview with News India Times, Jaideep Janakiram, senior vice president of International Business-Head of the Americas at Sony Pictures Networks, said, “If you are subscribing to all of our channels, this is our give back to you.” The SonyLIV’s benefit is that it allows you to go back in time and view your favourite TV series, movies, and episodes on-demand, as well as have access to some of Sony Television’s most recent content.”

When viewing TV on traditional channels (non-streaming), viewers can only access content for seven days; although DVR functionality has limitations. Subscribers may now watch Sony Television content at any time, thanks to SonyLIV, according to Janakiram. Janakiram noted that SonyLIV may offer programming as well as content from as far back as 25 years ago if indeed the programming team deemed it fulfilled quality and technological criteria.

So whether you choose to catch up with your favourite Sony Television shows, such as Amitabh Bachan’s highly acclaimed “Yudh,” or watch the much-anticipated online series “Avrodh,” SonyLIV is indeed the place to go.

Customers who subscribe to DISH Network’s Hindi, Hindi Sony, Hindi Gold, Hindi Mega, Hindi Premium, Urdu Hindi, or Punjabi Hindi services via Sling TV may watch SonyLIV for free. SonyLIV too is available as just a $4 per month add-on for DISH Network users who do not have the following bundles. SonyLIV content is $6 per month with Sling TV without a long-term contract for users who don’t want any bundle at all.

SonyLIV offers regional language programming in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bangla, and Marathi, in addition to popular hit series like “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” “Beyhadh,” “Crime Patrol,” “Ladies Special,” “Mere Sai,” and others.
