‘Sanki’: Varun Dhawan To Play A Handicapped Cop In This Film?

Popular actor Varun Dhawan recently started the shooting of his upcoming venture, ‘Bhediya’. Another project which is his pipeline is Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Sanki’.  He will be playing the role of a physically challenged cop in it with Parineeti Chopra. As per the recent reports, the movie will be a remake of the Tamil thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru.

A source says, “Sajid Nadiadwala had bought the official rights to the superhit Tamil thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. Sanki is a remake of the same film. They are adapting the screenplay to suit the pan-India platform.”

The source further says, “It’s a cleverly crafted thriller, where Varun Dhawan plays a top cop who loses his leg during one of the investigations. It’s challenging for Varun because he plays a character battling a physical handicap for the first time in his career.”

Varun Dhawan will also be seen in the film, ‘Bhediya’, featuring Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal in the lead roles. The story is been written by Niren Bhatt. The film is been directed by bala and stree helmer Amar Kaushik.   Varun will also appear in ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ and ‘Ekkis’.
