Malang is indeed a Bollywood Hindi-language action film directed by Mohit Suri as well as produced by T-Series in association alongside Luv Films and Northern Lights Entertainment, alongside Yash Raj Films handling distribution. Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, and Kunal Khemu feature in the film.

The filming began in March 2019 and largely did take place in Goa, although it was also shot in Mauritius. In October of this year, the final timetable was completed. Patani was cast in the female lead role after Sanya Malhotra and Kriti Sanon declined.

Malang was originally scheduled to be released on Valentine’s Day 2020, but it was pushed back a week to prevent a clash with Love Aaj Kal. On February 7, 2020, it was ultimately released in theatres all around the world. Malang has made 84.50 crore (US$11 million) internationally, and has been praised for its music as well as cast performances.

The film was originally given to Shraddha Kapoor, who declined due to her hectic schedule, however agreed to perform voiceover at the conclusion.

Shooting began on March 16, 2019. The primary filming for the film began on March 22nd in Goa. In the first week of May, the Mauritius schedule was shot. On October 7, 2019, the movie came to a close.

The film was originally set to be released on February 14, 2020, however on December 26, 2019, it was pushed back a week to February 7, 2020. The film was released on Netflix on May 15th.

Mithoon, Ankit Tiwari, Ved Sharma, The Fusion Project, Adnan Dhool, as well as Rabi Ahmed composed the movie’s soundtrack, while Sayeed Quadri, Kunaal Vermaa, Prince Dubey, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, and Adnan Dhool wrote the lyrics.

Critics gave Malang a mixed response. The Times of India’s Harshada Rege scored the movie 3.5 out of 5 stars, saying, “None of the characters in this movie are one-dimensional, which adds to their appeal. ‘Malang’ starts off well with a high-octane action scene before diving right into the drama.” “After the disappointing Half Girlfriend, Mohit Suri returns to his preferred genre- thrillers, and we must admit, the man pulls it off rather effectively when it comes to calling the shots,” remarked Madhuri V of Filmibeat.

Malang, starring Disha Patani as well as Aditya Roy Kapur, is strong on style with good performances and exhilarating moments, but has a mediocre narrative, according to Bollywood Hungama, which also scored the movie 3.5 stars out of 5.
