Tiger Shroff Firing: 10+ Arrests, Rohit Shetty Hits Back
Rohit Shetty confronted contestants over gangster behaviour after Tiger Shroff's Juhu firing, as police arrested 10+ people in the case.

A string of gunfire incidents aimed at Bollywood celebrities took a fresh turn this week, after filmmaker Rohit Shetty used a reality-show platform to connect on-screen gangster posturing with the threats stars now face at their own homes. The latest chapter involves Tiger Shroff, and it has pushed the industry’s security conversation to the foreground.
What happened in Juhu
On October 18, Tiger Shroff was returning from a football game in Juhu when three men opened fire at his car. He escaped unhurt and drove his injured driver to hospital. Police later identified the three accused shooters, and their reported plan to flee by bus to Gujarat was stopped. To date, more than 10 people linked to the case have been arrested.
Rohit Shetty draws a line on reality TV
Days later, Shetty addressed the moment on a popular reality TV show where he is serving as special host. Speaking to three contestants who were bullying another contestant, he compared their gangster posturing with what is actually happening in real life. Filmfare quotes him as saying: “Yahan humare ghar par goliyan chal rahi hain, tum kya gangster banke ghoom rahe ho?” Translated, the question lands as: bullets are being fired at our homes, and you are roaming around acting like gangsters?
The remark matters because it uses a mass entertainment format to name a boundary that often gets blurred: performance versus lived danger.
A wider pattern of insecurity
The Juhu firing did not happen in isolation. In February, five rounds were fired at Shetty’s own Juhu home. Earlier threats aimed at Salman Khan have also put the industry on edge. Jackie Shroff’s team has since shared a recovery video and asked publications to be cautious about the type of news they spread, pointing to the risk of misinformation. For an industry built on dramatic confrontations, Shetty’s comment is an unusual moment: a star using prime-time television to tell contestants that real gunfire is not a persona.
Why this matters for fans
For the audience, this is not just another reality-show argument. It reframes a routine on-screen fight as a commentary on how casually gangster imagery is worn in entertainment, even as actual danger has become part of celebrity life. It also makes verified updates essential, because unconfirmed clips and rumours tend to move faster than official statements. Fans can help by waiting for statements from the family and police, and by not treating stylised gangster content as harmless background.
