Tiger Shroff firing: 3 detained, Bishnoi gang sends new threat

Three suspects are in custody after the Tiger Shroff shooting in Juhu, as Lawrence Bishnoi's gang repeats its warning to anyone working with Salman Khan.

Tiger Shroff firing: 3 detained, Bishnoi gang warns Bollywood

The Sunday-evening shooting outside Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai is no longer being treated as a random street crime. Lawrence Bishnoi’s network has claimed the attack and paired it with a message that names a large slice of Bollywood: anyone who works with Salman Khan, or outside the gang’s own orbit, is a target.

A drive-by in Juhu

On October 18, three men on a motorcycle pulled up to Shroff’s car in Juhu. Police say two of them opened fire, leaving the actor’s driver and a bystander injured. Shroff himself escaped bullet injuries.

Soon after, an audio note attributed to Bishnoi aide Anil Pandit surfaced on an X account linked to Harman Sandhu. The message claimed responsibility and warned, “Sooner or later, number sabka aayega.” Another line made the threat more direct: “Anyone in the Mumbai film industry who does not listen to us or works with Salman Khan will be next. Wait and watch.”

Three suspects were detained in Rajasthan’s Kota from a train arriving from Mumbai, a police official told PTI.

A pattern that keeps widening

The Juhu attack does not stand alone. The same network has been linked to a long list of incidents across India, Canada and the UK:

  • Salman Khan: the alleged 1998 blackbuck poaching during Hum Saath-Saath Hain led to threats years later, including the first public death threat in 2018 and warning shots outside his Bandra home.
  • Gippy Grewal: attackers fired at his Canadian residence in 2023; the gang cited his association with Salman.
  • AP Dhillon: a 2024 attack on his UK home involved 14 gunshots and arson, allegedly over his Old Money video with Salman.
  • Kapil Sharma: his Canada café and later his Chai Sutta Bar were attacked after he hosted Salman on The Great Indian Kapil Show.
  • Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh: shots were fired outside Shetty’s Mumbai home in February, and Singh’s manager received a threat demanding between ₹1 and 10 crore.

Why this changes the safety conversation

The threat is no longer aimed only at one star. It now covers actors, producers, managers, and businesses associated with them, from a Mumbai home to a café in Canada. That changes how production teams, event organisers and brand partners will plan public appearances in the months ahead.

For now, the police response has moved fast: three detentions and a lookout circular against Harman Sandhu, also known as Harry Boxer, whose voice notes were traced by investigators. The question is whether the industry’s security response moves just as quickly.
