Lata Mangeshkar fans have already been praying for her health for several weeks. After a positive test for COVID 19, the legendary singer is now in the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital, as well as her team turned to social media today to inform fans and well-wishers of her condition. The 92-year-old singer’s health has marginally improved, according to the team, but she remains in the intensive care unit. Along with it, Lata Mangeshkar’s team begged that ‘disturbing’ rumours regarding her health not be shared.
Lata Mangeshkar’s team took to Twitter on Tuesday to provide an update on her health, stating that she is still at the Breach Candy Hospital’s ICU owing to COVID 19. “There is a marginal improvement in Lata Didi’s health and she continues to be in the ICU. Kindly refrain from spreading disturbing rumours or falling prey to random messages regarding Didi’s health. Thank you,” the tweet read. Lata Mangeshkar was hospitalised after testing positive for COVID 19 a few weeks ago. She is also being treated for pneumonia, according to reports.
Dr Pratit Samdani, the legendary singer’s doctor, recently made a statement addressing the “disturbing” rumours about her health, and her team requested everyone to refrain from spreading them. Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar’s sister and a legendary singer had previously told Etimes that she had not met the veteran singer since she was in COVID 19 ward.
She also mentioned that Lata Mangeshkar’s house is doing pooja to pray for her recovery.
Fans, celebrities, and the Nightingale of India’s whole family has been praying for her recovery. Many people have resorted to social media to express their concern for her wellbeing.
