Shraddha Kapoor looks stunning in a Nauvari saree as she celebrates Gudi Padwa

On the occasion of Gudi Padwa, actress Shraddha Kapoor wore the traditional ‘Nauvari’ saree, which has a special importance for her.

The ‘Nauvari,’ for those unfamiliar, was a celebration of a woman’s power and fighting spirit. The saree, which was traditionally worn by women to fight in conflicts back in the day, allowed for mobility and freedom of movement and was more than simply a fashion statement.

“With Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navratri, and Ugadi, I look forward to starting the New Year on a bright, hopeful, and good note,” Shraddha says of the festival.

“I started my day with some homemade maharashtrian food, some of which I also took with me to the sets for my team. The day is all about spending time with your loved ones and cherishing the little moments.”

She also resorted to social media to share photos of herself wearing a stunning Nauvari saree.

On the job front, Shraddha will star with Ranbir Kapoor in Luv Ranjan’s unnamed film. She will also be seen in Pankaj Parashar’s ‘Chaalbaaz in London’ and Vishal Furia’s ‘Nagin’.
