Shraddha Kapoor Bags KEY Role in ‘Chaalbaaz in London’. Here’s why

Pankaj Parashar, director of Sridevi’s Chaalbaaz has confirmed the remake of the movie. The sequel “Chaalbaaz in London” will have Shradha Kapoor in the lead role.  The remake of the cult film will be bigger in scale. Understandably, it was Shraddha’s Baghi performance that landed her the role.

The director said, “Shraddha has 64M followers on Insta, isn’t she hugely popular? But it is always the performance of an actor that he/she has given in a film,  Also, the audition that moves the maker towards the actor. I loved Shraddha in the scene from Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Baaghi’ (directed by Ahmed Khan).  Therein, she changes from one character to another in a flash of a second.” Moreover, Shraddha loved the film’s narration.

Additionally, Pankaj Parashar mentioned, “Shakti Kapoor is a dear friend. So it wasn’t tough to reach Shraddha. In fact, I know her since she was a kid. I still remember she came for the special screening of ‘Rajkumar’, the film I made in 1996.  However, she was just 9 years old then. She was bowled over by the action parts too, for which she will soon start preparing.”

The Sridevi-led Chaalbaaz also had Shakti Kapoor. Parashar revealed, “Yes, he is in the sequel as well.  Although, it is a guest appearance.” The director also specified that “People should stop even thinking that Chaalbaaz in London is similar to Chaalbaaz. I repeat, it is not. Think of it, it’s quite a challenge for me. When I decided to make ‘Chaalbaaz’, several well-wishes asked me, Why was I going into the ‘Seeta aur Geeta’ zone, but I was unperturbed.”
