Ali Abbas Zafar is set to direct a thriller starring Shahid Kapoor, according to reports. The filmmaker of Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’, is currently working on a one-night thriller. According to the source, Ali has been intending to adapt the film for Indian audiences for quite some time. Shahid, on the other hand, was searching for a film set in a commercial setting that was distinct from the conventional masala potboiler, and Ali’s script fit the bill perfectly. Meanwhile, if production begins this year and all goes well, Shahid’s next project would be Raj and DK’s Amazon Prime series, which he is currently filming in Mumbai.
Shahid Kapoor’s next film is Jersey, which is a remake of the Telugu film of the same name. Apart from Ali’s project, he has consented to at least three more. He is supposed to be working on Operation Cactus by Amar Butala and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s legendary epic Karna by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
