Saira Banu’s left ventricular failure, needs angiography, Faisal Farooqui shares health update

Saira Banu was hospitalized a few days back after she complained of chest congestion. The doctors at Hinduja Hospital have advised the veteran actress to go through an angiography. Her close family friend Faisal Farooqui said that she has been broken after her husband and legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s death.

The 77-year-old actress was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit on Wednesday (September 1). Her condition is quite stable now. In an exclusive conversation with a media house, Faisal Farooqui shared Saira’s health update. “Doctors have advised Saira Banu for angiography. According to that, her medicines will be prescribed. It’s not a serious issue. Doctors are saying that she might be discharged soon. They can start the procedure for angiography later too,” he added.

Dilip Kumar breathed his last on July 7, 2021, at the age of 98. The late legendary actor and his wife Saira were together for more than five decades. Farooqui added further and said she has been quite broken since his death. “She is quite broken since the departure of Dilip Sahab. She is a woman who has lived every moment in the last 55 years with him. You and I can only feel this pain. But there has been a vacuum in her life. It may be that his sorrow and the stress are bothering her,” he said.

Adding further, “Her morning used to start with Dilip Sahab and she used to pass the night taking care of him. This is not happening from today. She has been doing this for 55 years. She even gave up her career for him.” He also revealed that Saira Banu has been suffering from sleeplessness.
Dharmendra and Shah Rukh Khan have been in constant touch with the veteran actress. They often text and get her health update.

Saira Banu married Dilip Kumar in 1966 and was always beside him until his last days.
