For his recently released sports drama 83, Ranveer Singh has snatched all the attention. While many people raced to the theatres to see the much-discussed picture as soon as it was released, others are now watching it on the OTT platform. 83 is based on Kapil Dev’s captaincy at the 1983 Cricket World Cup for the uninitiated. Saba Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan’s sister, recently saw Kabir Khan’s film and turned to social media to compliment the film and its performers.
Saba Pataudi shared a poster of Ranveer Singh and remarked, “I loved this movie! I agree, the pandemic may have affected its performance in theatres and perhaps fans preferred other movies. #LiveAndLetLive. This reminded me of Abba, and us watching matches together. In addition to Hardy Sandhu, Dhairya Karwa, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, and others, Kabir Khan’s film 83 included Hardy Sandhu, Dhairya Karwa, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, and others in significant roles. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh co-star in the film.
The makers of 83 recently received some respite when the Bombay High Court issued a ruling on the film’s broadcasting rights, rejecting a request to halt the film’s OTT release. The filmmakers were granted authorization to disseminate the film via OTT platforms as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision.
