Rubina Dilaik starts shooting for her Bollywood debut film Ardh

Bigg Boss 14 winner and television actress Rubina Dilaik has started filming for her debut Bollywood film Ardh. The actress on Tuesday, took to social media to share an update with her fans and followers.

The 34-year old actress who became a household name with her roles in ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ and ‘Choti Bahu’
shared the first-look poster of her debut film. “New Beginnings #ardh @palash_muchhal @hitentejwani @rajpalofficial,” she wrote in the caption.

Helmed by music composer and singer Palash Muchhal, the film revolves around a struggling actor in Mumbai. Ardh also stars Rajpal Yadav, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Hiten Tejwani in prominent roles.

Speaking about the film Palash said, “Ardh is about the struggle of an actor in a city like Mumbai. The film will showcase the experiences of my 15-year journey.”

Rajpal Yadav called Ardh a concept-driven film. “I am very happy to be a part of this film, and I am really proud of Palash. During the photoshoot, I was amazed to see his skills as a young filmmaker,” the actor added.

Hiten Tejwani, on the other hand, who is known for his roles in daily soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kutumb is excited to work with a young filmmaker. “Palash is a young filmmaker and his energy is amazing. We as actors always want to play different characters and to work with young filmmakers like him is fun,” he added in a statement.

Meanwhile, Rubina Dilaik is currently seen on the show Shakti – Astitve Ke Ehsaas Ki. She was earlier in a music video, titled ‘Tumse Pyaar Hai’ also starring her husband and actor Abhinav Shukla.
