Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh have started shooting for Karan Johar’s directorial venture Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The actors on Friday, August 20, shared a video from the prep for the upcoming film to announce the news. The video starts with KJo’s voiceover and features him along with Alia and Ranveer and other cast and crew.
To announce the commencement of the shoot of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh shared a special clip featuring the two of them along with Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, and other crew members. The video starts with Karan’s voice saying, “Rocky Aur Rani bilkul tyyar hai. Chaliye karte hai unki prem kahani ki shuruat. Lights. Camera. Action.” In the video, Ranveer is seen rehearsing his dance steps and Alia is seen fixing her make-up and hair.
Sharing the video, Alia Bhatt wrote in the caption, “Too many feels to fit in a caption #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK.”
Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, wrote, “Shuru ho gayi hai yeh anokhi kahani of Rocky & Rani. Toh dijiye humein apna aashirvaad aur pyaar, aur chaliye iss safar mein hamaare saath! #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK.”
In July, Karan took to his Instagram story to announce that he has started prepping for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer. The filmmaker shared a stylish selfie of the two of them and wrote, “Rocky uska naam.”
He took to social media and wrote, “Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favorite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy.”
Apart from Alia and Ranveer, the film also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in prominent roles. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will release in 2022.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar is making his directorial comeback after five years, his last film as a director was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, and Ranbir Kapoor.
