Ready

Anees Bazmee helmed Ready, a 2011 Indian Bollywood action comedy film. The movie is indeed an official adaptation of Srinu Vaitla’s 2008 Telugu movie, produced by T-Series Films, Rawail Grandsons Entertainment as well as Software Pvt. Ltd., Sohail Khan Productions, and Eros International. Salman Khan and Asin Thottumkal appear in the movie, which is their second collaboration following London Dreams. Wave Cinemas and One Up Entertainment distributed Ready. The plot was written by Gopimohan as well as Kona Venkat, and Khan reportedly narrated the movie.

In June of 2010, principal photography began. Sri Lanka, Bangkok, and Mumbai were used as locations for the movie.

On April 5, 2011, the first look poster was released. Ready, which was released in theatres globally on June 3, 2011, shattered all box office records for a non-holiday picture. It made a net profit of 120 crore in India against a budget of 30 crore, and it made a total profit of 180 crore worldwide. Critics gave the movie mixed reviews, praising it because of its music, comedy, and Khan’s performance but criticising it for its duration and narrative.

In July 2018, a spiritual sequel dubbed Ready 2 was revealed. Asin has indicated that she would not be returning to the sequel due to her retirement from filmmaking following her marriage.

Prem, who is quick-witted, assists his companion Khushi in eloping with her lover Raju. Gaurav, her prospective fiancé, has a girlfriend named Kiran whom he wishes to marry. Khushi’s father, Abhinav, as well as the Kapoors are enraged at the elopement. Prem calms his family, despite Abhinav’s scepticism. Prem’s family decides to arrange for his marriage to Pooja.

Prem tells his uncle about dumping Pooja, which Sanjana overhears as she flees her wedding. Sanjana poses as Pooja and lives with both the Kapoors because none of the Kapoors have ever seen her. She charms the Kapoors, but annoys Prem. Sanjana’s maternal uncles, Amar and Suraj, are rivals and therefore are looking for a man to marry her.

Prem discovers Sanjana’s identity while putting Suraj’s kid Aryan into a coma. He learns about Amar and Suraj from her. Both of them fall in love. Sanjana is taken away by Suraj. Despite the fact that they now know the truth, the Kapoors still want her to be his wife. He tells Sanjana that she will remain with Suraj and that he would find a way to marry her and bring the Chaudharys back together.

Prem disguises himself as the nephew of Balli, a certified accountant who works for Amar and Suraj. Soon after, he convinces the rest of the Kapoors to deceive the Chaudharies into allowing Sanjana to marry him. He also helps them to modify their bad mindsets. Aryan regains consciousness on the wedding day and confesses the truth about Prem.

A violent battle ensues, in which he triumphs against Amar, Suraj, and their men.

Prem then tells them about Sanjana’s late mother Geeta’s wish for them to reunite and marry Sanjana. Amar and Suraj have realised their error and are extremely remorseful for their actions. Finally, Prem and Sanjana marry and have their wedding photos taken with their family.

The soundtrack of the movie

Pritam created the music for Ready, and Amitabh Bhattacharya, Ashish Pandit, Neelesh Misra, and Kumaar wrote the lyrics. Underneath the aegis of T-Series, it premiered on April 25, 2011 at Filmcity in Goregoan.

There are four original tracks as well as four remixes on the CD. Devi Sri Prasad, the original composer of the item song “Ringa Ringa” from the Telugu film Arya 2, adjusted and reworked it for the movie. The song was altered to fit the North Indian nativity, such as the modification of “Ringa Ringa” to “Dhinka Chika.”

Anu Malik, the composer, claims that the song “Character Dheela” is a plagiarised version of his song “Mohabbat Naam Hai” as from 2001 movie Ajnabee. He informed the press that he will most certainly sue Pritam for plagiarism.
