During an Instagram association on Saturday, March 20, actress Rani Mukherjee had revealed that she will announce her next film on her 43rd birthday (March 21). As per the latest reports, the actress is set to lead in the feature film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.

Production houses Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment have come together for Rani Mukherjee’s next feature film, “Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway”. While the plot details have not been explicitly shared, the project is supposedly based on the controversial 2011 incidence. It is based on an Indian couple’s plight whose children were taken away from them by Norwegian welfare services.  Rani Mukherjee feels, “There could have been no better way to celebrate my birthday today than announce this really important film. In my 25th year in cinema, I have possibly signed one of the most special and significant films of my career.

As stated by the actress Rani Mukherjee “I started my career with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, which was a woman-centric film. Quite a coincidence that in my 25th year, I’m announcing a film that is also centered around a woman’s resolve to fight against all odds and take on a country. Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is portrayal of true human resilience and it is a film that is dedicated to all the mothers out there. It is truly one of the most amazing scripts that I have read in a long, long time and I immediately decided to do this special film.”

During the session, the actress reflected on her 25 years in Bollywood and said that she is still learning. Talking about films, she spoke about her experience of shooting Bunty Aur Babli 2 with Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh.
