As per reports, Producer Ratan Jain, the creative director of Venus Worldwide Entertainment Pvt. Ltd has come out in support of actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra following her husband Raj Kundra’s imprisonment.
Shilpa has known Ratan since her debut, and he also produced her follow-up film, Hungama 2. Shilpa’s industry peers and friends turn against her, but her mentor, Ratan Jain, believes in her. Raj Kundra was arrested for his alleged involvement in the pornographic industry, while the whole Bollywood industry remained silent about it. Producer Ratan Jain supported Shilpa and asserted that she is incapable of engaging in such behaviour.
Ratan Jain expressed his grief for Shilpa Shetty, stating that he has known her for a long time and is incapable of such behaviour. While he couldn’t say how much Shilpa knew about her husband’s actions, he was sure she couldn’t be involved. “A person should not do such a thing by putting his family in jeopardy,” the producer continued. Ratan maintained his position on Shilpa until the end, saying that the decision now rests with the Mumbai police, who are conducting the investigation.
Producer Ratan Jain said in an interview, “As much as I know Shilpa, she will not do something like that at all. I can’t say how much she knew about her husband’s business, but I don’t think she was involved in it. Any family person should not do this kind of work, and jitna main Shilpa ko jaanta hoon woh aisa kaam nahi karegi (I am sure Shilpa will not get involved in anything like this).”
Shilpa Shetty Kundra has remained silent and has not made any public statements since Raj’s arrest. The Mumbai Esplanade court denied his bail on Wednesday, and he was detained for the next 14 days. Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, and Viaan Industries were fined Rs 3 lakh by the Securities and Exchange Board of India on July 28 for breaking insider trading regulations.
