Kiccha Sudeep, a South star, recently re-ignited the national language discussion when he commented about the flaming popularity of KGF: Chapter 2. ‘Hindi is no longer a national language,’ he stated during the premiere of a film. In response to this revelation, Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has tweeted his thoughts and posed a question to Sudeep. Ajay tagged Sudeep in a tweet in which he queried why, if Hindi is no longer a national language, films in his home tongue are dubbed in Hindi.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Ajay Devgn wrote, “@KicchaSudeep my brother, According to you if Hindi is not our national language then why do you release your mother tongue movies by dubbing them in Hindi? Hindi was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language. Jan Gan Man.”
In response to Kiccha Sudeep’s assertion that “Hindi is no longer a national language,” Ajay tweeted this in Hindi.
Sudeep, a Kannada actor, claimed at the premiere of R: The Deadliest Gangster Ever that Bollywood is now making pan-India films. He went on to say during the ceremony,
The Vikrant Rona star’s comments sparked outrage on social media, and now Ajay Devgn has added his two cents to the conversation. “They are struggling (to find success) by dubbing in Telugu and Tamil, but it’s not happening. Today we are making films that are going everywhere.”
In the meantime, Ajay Devgn is busy promoting his flick Runway 34. Rakul Preet Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, and Boman Irani also feature in the film. On April 29, 2022, it will be released.
