On ‘Jalsa,’ Vidya Balan comments that the narrative is compelling- Read on

Vidya Balan is one of Bollywood’s most brilliant actresses. Sherni, The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, and other films have showcased her acting abilities. She has a sizable fan base and is outspoken about her beliefs. As she prepares for the debut of her latest film, ‘Jalsa,’ the actor spoke to ETimes about the film, saying that it has a fascinating tale and plenty of drama. She also stated that the picture is not intended to make any societal statement.

Vidya told the news outlet that different individuals will take various things away from the film and the subject. She does, however, try to avoid making any kind of commentary, although this is subjective because some people will see layers in it while others would not. Jalsa, she said, is a riveting narrative with plenty of drama. Vidya Balan ended by saying, “I don’t think it is trying to make a commentary. I think it will leave you feeling, ‘Oh, my god, this could be me’.”

In terms of Jalsa, the film stars Vidya Balan, Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul, Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Shrikant Mohan Yadav, Shafeen Patel, and Surya Kasibhatla, among others. Suresh Triveni directs the film, which is co-produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Abundantia Entertainment’s Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa Sharma, and Suresh Triveni. Jalsa will be available on Amazon Prime Video on March 18th.
