In the realm of Hollywood, Ananya Panday has only a few films under her belt, but she has already amassed a sizable fan base. With Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria in the 2019 film Student of the Year 2, the actress made her debut. She has made a name for herself in the film business and in the glamorous world in a short period of time. The actress most recently starred opposite Deepika Padukone in Gehraiyaan, for which she received critical acclaim. Ananya talked about female role models in a recent interview with a well-known magazine.
When asked why having female role models is important for young women, Ananya told Cosmopolitan, “I truly believe that women need to support each other, because only we understand what each one of us goes through in life. As women, we have our own issues and problems which men may never understand, even if they try to.”
She went on to say that she was lucky to grow up surrounded by working women, especially her grandparents, who instilled in her the belief that she, too, could go out into the world, work, and forge her own path. Ananya also praised all of her peers for their outstanding efforts at such a young age. All of the women now working in the business, according to the actress, are smashing the glass barrier in their own unique ways, and it’s inspiring to be around by such ladies.
Meanwhile, Ananya will be seen next in Puri Jagannadh’s pan-India film Liger, in which she will star alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Aside from that, she has Zoya Akhtar’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan in the works, as well as Siddhant and Adarsh Gourav.
