Remembering the iconic Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor on his 69th birth anniversary Neetu Kapoor along with the Kapoor clan made his birth anniversary special and memorable by celebrating it exactly the way he would have wanted.
The veteran actress hosted a bash, which included a special cake that shows Rishi Kapoor’s love for Twitter and whiskey. Right from decorations to food, everything was arranged of his choice.
The intimate party was attended by Randhir Kapoor, David Dhawan, David Dhawan, fashion designer Mohini Chabria, and filmmaker Rumi Jafry, among other close friends.
While sharing a glimpse from the celebrations, Neetu Kapoor dropped a few pictures and videos on her Instagram stories. The actress also gave a sneak peek of the cake, featuring all the things that Chintu Ji loved. The cake had the Twitter logo, a guitar nag champa incense sticks, a whiskey bottle, a bowl of mutton curry, and a cassette of songs from his old hits. ‘Happy Birthday Chintu’ was graffitied on the cake plate.
The doting wife also shared a snap of a photo frame, which read ‘Celebrating Chintuji’. Not just this, Neetu Kapoor also shared an endearing video of the group singing ‘happy birthday to Rishi Kapoor’ with his cardboard cut-out.
On Saturday, Neetu had shared a throwback happy photo of herself with Rishi Kapoor alongside a heartwarming note. “I learned a lot from Rishi Ji during our last few traumatic years in NYC .. how we celebrated when his blood counts were high .. we dined shopped laughed .. in his lows we just stayed home watched tv ordered in amazing food n still had some wonderful moments in hope that the next round of chemotherapy he would be better .. hope n being strong is what he taught me .. value each day .. we all miss him today !!! I can picture how excited he would have been for his 69th birthday !! I’m sure he is celebrating with his family up there Happy birthday Kapoor Saab,” the actress added.
