Mrunal Thakur, who recently appeared in a prolonged cameo in Kartik Aaryan’s murder drama Dhamaka, will star alongside Shahid Kapoor in Jersey. Fans and cinema buffs have taken notice of the actress’ key performances. Her admirers will now have even another reason to cheer, as the actress will be featured in a Telugu film.

Mrunal Thakur will star alongside South sensation Dulquer Salmaan in a Telugu film. The film is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and presented by Vyjayanthi Films and is produced by Swapna Cinema.

What’s more, Mrunal Thakur’s appearance in the film bears a striking similarity to Madhubala, a former celebrity!

Madhubala is often said to as the most beautiful Indian actress of all time, and any comparison to her is a big honour. Despite having such large shoes to fill, Mrunal appears to enjoy the spotlight.

Mrunal remarked on her Madhubala-like appearance. “It’s an honour to be told I resemble one of the most beautiful actresses, Madhubala ji. This film just got a whole lot special for me after being associated with such a legendary actor. Really look forward to this one and I hope that my fans love the film as much as we loved making it!”
