Meghana Raj took to social media on Saturday and dropped an adorable picture of herself and her son Raayan from his naming ceremony. Meghana Raj and late Chiranjeevi Sarja’s son turned 10 months old on August 22, has been named Raayan Raj Sarja.
The actress also shared a video clip of her son’s baptism ceremony. For the ceremony, Meghana opted for a pink and orange silk saree, while Raayan was dressed in a white shirt and purple-colored waistcoat.
Meghana Raj revealed her son’s name on September 3 and hosted a grand ceremony for Raayan on Saturday, September 4. The naming ceremony was attended by their close friends and family.
Sharing the adorable photos, Meghana Raj wrote, “Raayan Raj Sarja.”
Sharing a video of the ceremonies, the actress revealed why she chose the name Raayan for her son. She wrote, “As a mother, it is important that I do things which is the best for my son why not have the best of both worlds like how his parents enjoyed people irrespective of their caste or religion have prayed for him have prayed for our families it is only fair that we ask blessings from all the gods above it was important for me to do this both ways cause his father, our king believes that humanity matters above everything! Celebrate the best of both traditions! Spoken like a true king! Raayan (Sanskrit), the name also belongs to all religions different versions, different pronunciations, but one solid meaning! Presenting our pride our prince our Raayan Raj Sarja! My baby, u will grow up to be like ur father, he loved people for who they are, and the kind of good work they do for humanity not for what background they belonged to. He is a giver he is already proud of you! Amma and Appa love you! It’s time to RULE!”
Meghana Raj welcomed her baby boy on October 22, 2020. Chiranjeevi Sarja passes away on June 7, 2020, after suffering a massive heart attack.
