Last month, Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas welcomed their first child. The couple received a kid via surrogacy and shared the news with their friends, followers, and well-wishers on their individual social media platforms. Naturally, the couple and their loved ones must be overjoyed at this happy occasion. During an interview with the paparazzi yesterday, Priyanka’s mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, expressed her joy at becoming a grandma. Madhu Chopra, Priyanka’s mother, celebrated the 14th anniversary of her cosmetic clinic yesterday, February 26th. She was asked about her reaction to becoming a ‘nani’ during her engagement with the media.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, Madhu Chopra said that she can’t stop smiling ever since her first grandchild arrived. She said, “Nani bane toh bahut bahut khushi hui mujhe (I was so happy to become a grandmother)”. She added, “I am only smiling all the time. I’m very happy.”
When asked about the baby’s name, she said that it has not been decided yet. “Abhi nahi rakha hai. Jab pandit naam nikaalege tab hoga. Abhi nahi (We haven’t finalised it yet. When the priest gives us the name, then it will happen. Not now),” she said at the event.
Last month, Priyanka and Nick announced the birth of their child on their Instagram accounts. “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a child via surrogate,” they wrote. We humbly request privacy during this particular time so that we can devote our attention to the family. Thank you so much (emoji of a red heart)”. Despite the fact that they haven’t said anything about their child, reports say that the power couple has given birth to a daughter.
