Lata Mangeshkar, India’s Nightingale, Passed Away due to Organ Failure

Pratit Samdani, Lata Mangeshkar ‘s doctor, admits that she died of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days in the hospital following the Covid 19 incident.

The terrible death of legendary vocalist Lata Mangeshkar has shocked the whole country. In the age of 92, India’s Nightingale died at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. On January 8, Mangeshkar tested positive for COVID-19 with minor symptoms and was being treated at the hospital. Her condition worsened on Saturday, and she was placed on ventilator support. Her doctor at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, Pratit Samdani, has now released a statement indicating that Lata died of multiple organ failure.

Pratit Samdani, addressing to the media, claimed the veteran singer died after 28 days in the hospital despite getting post-COVID therapy. Mangeshkar was admitted to the hospital on January 11 after testing positive for such dangerous illness. Breach Candy Hospital makes a message on Twitter stating that Lata Mangeshkar died of multi-organ failure after spending well over 28 days in the hospital following the Covid 19 incident.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic demise of Lata Mangeshkar at 8:12 AM,” the statement stated. She died of multi-organ failure after spending more than 28 days in the hospital following COVID19.”

The corpse of Lata Mangeshkar will be carried to Shivaji Park, where people will pay their respects. PM Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, and Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, V Muraleedharan, Amit Shah, and Nitin Gadkari, amongst many others, expressed their sorrow at her death.

“I am heartbroken beyond words,” Modi tweeted as he paid his last respects. Lata Didi, who was lovely and very kind, has passed away. She has left an unfillable vacuum in our country. Her lovely voice had an unrivalled power to mesmerise listeners, and future generations will remember her as just a bastion of Indian culture.”
