Earlier this week there were reports claiming that Karan Johar is all set to direct a new film “Prem  Kahani”. The chosen stars for the movie were Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.  It turns out that the news is incorrect.

Karan Johan is firmly denying that there is no such movie on the cards. It is elaborated by Karan Johar’s associates that  “Karan is not looking at directing any project at the moment. His focus at the moment is on seeing the long-delayed Brahmastra to its completion. All his efforts are going into minimizing the production costs as Brahmastra has gone way  over-budget.”  

Raj Khosla’s 1974  film “Prem Kahani” featuring Rajesh Khanna and  Mumtaz. Karan is a big fan of Khosla’s cinema. KJo may have mentioned somewhere that Khosla’s “Prem Kahani” is one of his favorite films. But as of now, Karan Johar has no plans of making a film with the title “Prem Kahani”

It is likely that Karan Johar is directing his long-delayed movie “Takht”.  The costume drama “Takht” features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia  Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, and Anil Kapoor. There is also a possibility of turning “Takht” into w web series.
