Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, to be out on April 14th

Jersey, a movie featuring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, was the one that was postponed when India’s third wave began. Now that the storm has passed, theatres are reopening and filmmakers are announcing new release dates for their movies. Shahid Kapoor revealed today that their movie Jersey would have a new release date. On April 14, 2022, the film is set in theatres.

Shahid Kapoor tweeted on his Twitter account on Tuesday, “We are overjoyed to announce that our beloved movie #Jersey will be released in theatres globally on April 14, 2022. We’ll see you at the movies.”

The movie will compete with Yash’s highly anticipated KGF 2 there at box office.

Jersey is indeed a remake of the same-named Nani starring. The storey follows an ex-cricketer who’s really struggling to pay the bills as well as desires to satisfy his child’s wish of getting a Jersey, although in the process, he has been forced to confront his heroic past and must decide whether to rise to the occasion and become a symbol of hope or continue to live a life as a loser.
