Amir Khan was all set to blast the theater this year with his next level of a project, Vikram Vedha. Film Vikram Vedha is a Tamil language neo-noir action thriller film. The film starred south’s very popular actors Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan in the lead role. Where Vijay’s character as Vedha inspired many Bollywood stars from Shahrukh Khan to Amir Khan.
Bollywood’s king khan was so amazed by the character of Vedha that he just wanted to remake the film in Hindi and play this role. Interestingly, this is a negative role and it seems that nowadays, celebrities are hunting for varieties to display their talents. And, so Shahrukh wanted to remake the film but unfortunately, it could not mount to anything.
However, when some makers started working on the project they approached legend Amir Khan. Who found the script exceptional and dreamt of taking it to the next level. He wanted to make it a Hong-Kong based gangster drama. He desired to make the remake an international film. And, as it is an action thriller film so with the little flavor of Hong-Kong’s gang wars Amir, planned to make it a Chinese market-friendly film. But due to the outbreak of COVID-19 horrible situation, he backed off.
With the Ladhak tussles and Corona pandemic situations the actor didn’t find it suitable to plan such a big. Hence, with no option left and low motivations he opted out of the film.
According to the media reports, the filmmaker’s first choice even before Amir Khan was Hrithik Roshan. After Amir quitting the project the makers approached Hrithik for the role for Vedha. This was the second time when makers have talked with Hrithik regarding the film before also, there had been a discussion on Hritik’s part. He loved the script but was tightly scheduled.
However, as now Amir will be no longer a part of the project so, Hrithik will take over the role of Vedha. The film is also having Saif Ali Khan as Vikram, a cop. The shooting for the same has already begun and it would be amazingly interesting to see the onscreen chemistry of Hrithik Roshan & Saif Ali Khan for the very first time.
