Producer Sandeep Singh brings together the Musical Duo of AR Rahman and Gulzar for an upcoming Biopic. Sandeep Singh has brought together both these legends under his banner Legend Global Studio. The trio is collaborating for the biopic on Sahara’s Subrata Roy.
Both Gulzar and Rahman are iconic personalities of the Hindi film industry. While Oscar-winner AR Rahman has created music that has made international headlines, Gulzar has written memorable lyrics. A R Rahman is a Padma Bhushan recipient, whereas Gulzar is an Oscar winner.
Sharing his views on the collaboration, AR Rahman said “Gulzar Saab’s soulful lyrics are extremely inspiring for a musician. I hope I can do justice to the lyrics and the story. I am looking forward to this collaboration.”
Gulzar adds, “It will be wonderful to collaborate with Rahman again. Subrata Roy’s life is mysterious as well as inspiring. Rahman is a wonderful musician and I look forward to this collaboration.”
Filmmaker Sandeep Singh stated, “It gives me great joy to bring these legends of lyrics and music together. The project is extremely close to my heart. I have been a huge fan of AR Rahman ji and Gulzar Saab’s work. Subrata Roy Sir’s life is a wonderful story of determination and success. Therefore, it needs the support of these two geniuses.”
Incidentally, Subrata Roy Biopic news first broke last month. The film is reported to be one that will go across the tycoon’s journey over the decades. Title and cast of the biopic is yet to be announced.
