Nushrratt Bharuccha is looking forward to her next release, Ajeeb Daastaans. This the second big project for the actress along with “Ram Setu”. The film is directed by Raj Mehta alongside Abhishek Banerjee and Inayat Verma. She is playing an altogether different character in the movie. Nushrratt plays the character of a house help Meenal. To get into the skin of her character of Meenal, Nushrratt drew inspiration from her own housekeeper. The actress is doing everything possible to fit into the challenging role.
Sharing more about her character Nushrratt said,” While I was thinking about how to get into the character of Meenal, I started observing my own house-help to understand her mannerisms and characteristics. She was a great reference point for me and unknowingly, she helped me tremendously to get a deeper understanding of my character in Ajeeb Daastaans.” Nushrratt has taken into account her observations while enacting the role of Meenal in “Ajeeb Daastaans”.
As evident from the previews of the movie, Meenal is an ordinary girl struggling to provide the best for herself and her sister. The story highlights her struggle to get a decent life for her and her sister and has a shocking gruesome twist in the end. Nussrratt said “ I could feel a similarity in Meenal’s life and my household help, who too worked hard to provide for her son, with all the opportunities she can. I absolutely adore her because of her spirit of fighting hard, with a sweet smile on her face always.”
Nushrratt Bharuccha says she had a great time playing the role which was different than the ones she has played so far. With Ajeeb Daastaans, Nushrratt superseded her own projections as an actress. She was great in her recent release “Chhalaang”. The audience will see more of her films in the near future. Apart from Ajeeb Daastaans Nushrratt has movies namely Hurdang, Chorii, Janhit Mein Jaari and Ram Setu.
