COVID-19 instances are on the rise once more. Karan Johar Star spouses Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan, as well as actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora, tested positive for the coronavirus. While they are all confined at home, the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation [BMC] has cleansed their homes and locked their premises. While BMC generally shutters buildings when more than 5 cases are found, they have now shuttered all four buildings as a preventative step to prevent the virus from spreading. Karan Johar’s building has now been shut, and his test results have come back negative.
The filmmaker recently had a home party to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. According to accounts, someone at the party got infected. Following the instances of Kareena, Amrita, Maheep, and Seema, everyone who had contact with them was ordered to undergo RT-PCR tests.
Karan’s mother, Hiroo Johar, was also tested, as were 40 others in his building, including his ten employees.
Meanwhile, along with Sohail Khan’s wife Seema Khan, their son Yohan, as well as two other members of the household, have tested positive. BMC H-West Assistant Municipal Commissioner Vinayak Vispute stated that they examined their employees as well as other occupants in the building. They conducted RT-PCR testing and will keep the structures sealed until the findings are available.
Kareena Kapoor Khan confirmed the news on her Instagram account on Monday, saying, “I have tested positive for Covid. I immediately isolated myself while following all medical protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me to please get tested. My family and staff are also double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully. I am feeling ok and hope to be up and about soon.”
