For Sajid Khan’s film, John Abraham has reduced his acting fees

John Abraham demanded Rs. 21 crores for the soon-to-be-released Ek Villain sequel, according to Bollywood Hungama. We also told our devoted readers about how, from Satyameva Jayate in 2018 to Ek Villain Returns, his market worth climbed thrice, with acting fees rising from Rs. 7 crores to Rs. 21 crores. However, we now have access to a new piece of information.

According to a reliable source, John Abraham has cut his acting expenses for filmmaker Sajid Khan’s next comedy by granting a Rs. 3 crore reduction. “Both Mumbai Saga and Satyameva Jayate 2 suffered losses for the producers as the run at the box office was not up to the mark, Following that, the producers had a conversation with John about reducing his acting fees to put the film in the right bracket of budget. While the producers were keen to bring him down to Rs. 15 crore, they finally zeroed in on Rs. 18 crore,” a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

This is the first time in a long time that John has given a producer a discount, but even he recognises that the epidemic has taken a toll on his market worth, and that lowering the costs is necessary to make films more appealing to stakeholders. The yet-to-be-titled comedy escapade also stars Riteish Deshmukh and is set to begin filming next month in London.

The film will be shot in London over the course of three months and is expected to be a laugh riot. John will finish filming for Pathan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone before going on to an unnamed comedy.
