Mumbai’s civic body – BMC on Monday filed an FIR against Gauahar Khan for flouting COVID-19 norms. While the name in the FIR is blurred but it is confirmed that it is filed against Bigg Boss fame actress. It is alleged that despite testing positive for COVID-19, she went on for a shoot.
As per Oshiwara police, the actor had tested positive for coronavirus and was asked to quarantine herself. Further a BMC official said, “When we went to her home in Andheri (W), she did not open the door. We then learnt that she instead went out for film shooting. We then approached the Oshiwara police station.”
The cases of COVId-19 have been on an increase in Mumbai since February. People are being advised to follow all the protocols and go out only if they are needed.
Many people have expressed their shock at this behaviour of Gauahar Khan. Gauahar has been a popular model and actress. She was also the winner of Bigg Boss 7 and has been closely associated with the show. She had recently tied a knot and her love story is touted to be a perfect “Love in the times of COVID-19”.
Gauahar had recently shot back at the reporters for circulating mininformation regarding her pregnancy. She had mentioned that she was in mourning post her father’s death.
It is indeed surprising that a person who appears as sensible as Gauahar would have taken a step like this. An FIR has been registered at Oshiwara police station u/s 188, 269, 270 IPC, 51B of NDMA Act, 3 of Epidemic Diseases Act, on the complaint of a BMC official
