Celebration of Father’s Day began in the United States to highlight the importance of a father in a child’s life. Today, the celebration of Father’s day around the world is low profile. Due to the ongoing pandemic, many have lost their fathers recently.
It appears that the day is not just a celebration. Father’s Day is an opportunity to pay tribute to the most important man in one’s life. During the course of growing up, fathers have been their mentors, guide, friend, and whatnot. Bollywood celebrities have taken to social media to pen heartfelt notes for their fathers. They are observing the day by sharing photos of their dads together with affectionate messages on social media.
Gulshan Kumar’s daughter Tulsi Kumar also paid a unique tribute to her late father. To mark the day Tulsi wrote, “Meri Zameen Aasmaan Mere Papa, Main hoon jahaan hain wahaan Mere Papa, Mere papa Mere papa”.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Shruti Haasan posted adorable pictures on their respective social media handles to wish their fathers on Father’s Day.
This weekend’s special episode of Indian Idol, the judges Sonu Kakkar, Anu Malik and Himesh Reshamiya got very emotional. While recalling the contributions of their fathers in shaping their destinies, they were overwhelmed. The best tribute was by lyricist, poet and screenwriter, Manoj Muntashir. Manoj’s description of his father in several verses was awesome.
Hina Khan also posted a very heart-wrenching note. She posted the pictures she had clicked earlier but did not share. Hina had saved the clicks for this special day. Unfortunately, she could not share the same with her dad.
Kareena Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and others have also shared adorable messages accompanied by pictures with their respective fathers.
