Dilip Kumar Health Update: He Is Now Stable And Should Be Discharged In 2-3 Days

Actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital after he had breathing issues on Sunday. As per the reports, the veteran actor is on oxygen support and ‘not on ventilator’. The official team of the actor recently took to Twitter and shared his health update. The tweet reads. “Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable. Thank you for your heartfelt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh’Allah,”

Dilip Kumar’s wife also gave an update on the actor’s health, “Dilip Saab is on oxygen support – not on ventilator. He is stable. Waiting for few test results to perform pleural aspiration : Dr Jalil Parkar, chest specialist treating Saab,”

In an interview, the actor’s wife had also revealed about the same. She said that they are examining why he got breathless and had mild fever. She said, “We are having some routine tests done. We are examining why he got breathless and had a mild fever. He had been a little unwell over the past couple of days. So, we got him admitted to the non-Covid hospital. The doctors are doing X-rays, blood tests and other tests under the guidance of Dr Nitin Gokhale. We would like all of you to pray for his well-being and better health.”

The veteran actor was taken to Hinduja Hospital, which is based in suburban Khar. He was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion, which is the build-up of excess fluid between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs.

On the work front, Dilip Kumar made his acting debut in the film Jwar Bhata. The actor had appeared in several films like Babul, Azaad, Tarana, Deedar, Aan, Karma, Footpath, Daag, Devdas and Mughal-e-Azam.
