As per the latest buzz, Sanjay Leela Bansali is thinking of roping in Deepika Padukone for his upcoming film Baiju Bawra. It is noteworthy that Deepika Padukone and ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bansali are all set to spread magic on the silver screens once again. In Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat, Deepika’s performance is remarkable. Therefore, another collaboration of the duo is very exciting for the fans.
As per reports, ever since Bhansali decided to recreate Baiju Bawra, he wanted Deepika to be part of the movie. While there is no official confirmation, Deepika is playing the role of dacoit queen, Roopmati, from the 1952 original. An official announcement is expected after Deepika signs on the dotted line and the entire cast is finalized by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
SLB is currently busy with the post-production of Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Deepika Padukone is in the process of wrapping up the shoot for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. Reportedly, the film is expected to hit the floors in mid-2022.
