Chunky Panday speaks up about his daughter Ananya Panday’s fashion taste being mocked.
In Bollywood, Ananya Panday is noted for her excellent fashion sense. From traditional costumes to western styles to bikinis, the actress can pull off any look with ease. Ananya, on the other hand, is occasionally mocked for her daring dress choices. At Apoorva Mehta’s 50th star-studded birthday event, she was mocked for her rear thigh-high slit translucent dress with a corset bodysuit. Her short costumes during Gehraiyaan marketing had already caught the attention of netizens.
Ananya’s father, Chunky Panday, spoke up on the actress’ sense of style in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, claiming that she has to appear attractive because she is a part of the celebrity industry. He also claimed that he never advised her girls what to dress or what not to wear as a father.
Chunky was quoted saying, “We, as parents, have never told her what to wear and what not to. We brought up both of our daughters quite well and they are very sensible. Ananya is in the show business today, and she needs to look glamorous. She should put her best foot forward and dress up.”The Jawaani Jaaneman actor added that he often tells Ananya that the best way to deal with trolls is to ‘laugh over their comments’.
“I tell Ananya, ‘At least people are discussing you, be it good or bad. We make sure that we don’t bother about trolls. She has learnt to laugh at herself. One shouldn’t let these things get to their heart,” Chunky further explained.
In fact, the actor made an open admission, revealing that his family had made “fun of his dress choices.” He further stated that these should be seen as a compliment and that trolling should not be a factor.
