After dating for a few years, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar decided to take their romance to the next level and married today. The couple began their wedding festivities on Thursday, February 17th, then hosted a few further events before tying the knot on February 19th. With just close friends and family in attendance, the couple’s wedding is a very personal occasion.
The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor looked dashing in his black tuxedo on his big day in the photos. Farhan Akhtar sported stubble, as well as his stylish sunglasses just added to his allure. Shibani, on the other hand, did not dress in traditional Indian garb for her D-Day. She donned a crimson off-the-shoulder fish-cut gown with a flared hem. She finished off her bridal appearance with such a matching crimson veil and delicate waves in the centre of her hair. The pair was seen standing on a little stage with a lovely red flower backdrop.
Last month, the Bollywood Society exclusively announced that Farhan Akhtar and Shibani would register their marriage on February 21. Farhan as well as Shibani married in Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse before getting married legally.
Javed Akhtar had already confirmed the wedding inside an interview, saying, “Yes, the wedding is happening. The wedding planners will take care of the rest, including shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain.”
