Anil Kapoor’s Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai clocks 21 years, recalls how the film helped brother Boney Kapoor

Actors Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai’s Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai have clocked in 21 years of its release on Wednesday, August 25. The film is special to Anil Kapoor as it helped his brother and producer Boney Kapoor to revive his production house as it was going through a rough phase. The romantic film was handed over to Boney by late filmmaker Daggubati Ramanaidu. The film was directed by Satish Kaushik.

As the film completes 21 years of its release, Anil recalled how Daggubati put together everything for the movie and then handed it over to Boney Kapoor.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “This film has rightfully always been Rama Naidu’s. It should have been a Suresh production film, but I am so grateful to them for giving it to Boney and helping him in a big way…forever grateful to Naidu Saab… #21YearsofHamaraDilAapkePaasHai @satishkaushik2 @SureshProdns.”

Boney Kapoor is Anil Kapoor’s elder brother and they have worked together in several films as producers and actors, respectively. Some of their films are Mr India, Loafer, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Judaai, Woh Saat Din, Pukar, and No Entry, among others. Boney and Anil also have a younger brother, Sanjay Kapoor.

What’s on the work front?

Anil Kapoor will be seen next in Jugg Jugg Joey with Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani. He also has Takht and Animal lined up.
