Amitabh Bachchan is one of the richest stars of Bollywood. The actor owns some of the most expensive houses, luxurious cars, and much more. Recently, the iconic actor has bought a new lavish 5,184 sq ft duplex apartment. This is in an under-construction project Atlantis in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb. The price is reported to be a whopping Rs 31 crore. He is said to have paid a stamp duty of Rs 62 lakh, which is 2 percent of Rs 31 crore.
Other Bollywood personalities have also bought apartments in this project. Amitabh Bachchan has bought this apartment on the 27th and 28th floor of the Atlantis. This project is being developed by realtor Crystal Pride Developers. The deal will also provide him access to six mechanized car parks.
The deal was finalized in December and concluded recently. Amitabh along with other Bollywood stars and industrialists has taken advantage of the government of Maharashtra’s stamp duty reduction. The scheme was valid until March-end. In December, the Maharashtra State Government has given the flexibility of four months to homebuyers to register a property after the payment of stamp duty. This was done in order to prevent crowding of registration offices.
