Satish Kaushik

Satish Kaushik was born and raised in Naiwala Gali, Karolbagh, Delhi, and then after graduation, relocated to Pune and enrolled in the Film and Television Institute of India. He has still been tied to the theatre, despite being a well-known movie actor. One of his most well-known theatre roles is “Willy Loman” in “Salesman Ramlal” (a Hindi-language play).

In 1983, he had the privilege of working as an assistant director on the movie “Masoom” alongside Shekhar Kapoor. Like an actor, he notably appeared in the movie. He penned the screenplay for Kundan Shah’s Bollywood movie “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron” (1983), and he also served as an assistant director as well as actor.

Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Johnny Lever, & Anupam Kher starred in his directorial debut, ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ (1993). Prem became his second film picture as a filmmaker (1995). Since both, his movies were flops at the box office.
Notwithstanding his failures, he continued to make movies. In 1999, he released his first Bollywood hit, “Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain.”

The directorial movie “Tere Naam,” starring Salman Khan & Bhumika Chawla, was released in 2003 and received critical and audience acclaim. Inside the 2018 movie “Soorma,” he played Diljit Dosanjh’s father.

Mr India’s “Calendar,” “Chanu Ahmed” in Sarah Gavron’s British movie “Brick Lane” (2007), and “Pappu Pager” in Deewana Mastana are some of his most well-known performances. Throughout his 30 years in Bollywood, he has performed in over 100 films in various capacities, involving acting, assistant directing, production, and other aspects of the television business.

Neena Gupta said in their autobiographical, Sach Kahun Toh, released on June 14, 2021, that actor & filmmaker Satish Kaushik contacted her as well as proposed to marrying her as she was pregnant with her daughter Masaba. In this book, she stated that when Satish Kaushik offered to remarry her, he remarked, “Don’t worry, if the child is born with dark skin, you can just say it’s mine and we’ll get married. Nobody will suspect a thing.”

We look to witness more movies in the upcoming years directed by the visionary filmmaker and actor Satish Kaushik. Hope you have liked the facts.
