Following the success of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil five years ago, filmmaker Karan Johar is back inside the director’s chair for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. In July, the filmmaker stated that he will be returning to filmmaking. The title, as well as the actors of the forthcoming family film, were revealed first by us. The movie stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt from Gully Boy and also features Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in key parts. Ranveer’s grandma is played by Jaya, who has previously appeared in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho, while Alia’s grandparents are played by Dharmendra and Shabana.
Karan Johar teased in a photo with his lead stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt that the film’s release date will be announced on November 29. We now know that perhaps the movie from Dharma Productions will be released on February 10, 2023.
Karan Johar used to Twitter to reveal the movie’s release date, saying, “After 7 years, it brings me immense joy & appreciation to be here and revealing that my next #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani, a love tale at its heart with the essence of family values – is releasing on February 10th, 2023.”
The cast is currently filming the movie in Delhi. The tracks will be choreographed by Farah Khan, while the outfits will be created by Manish Malhotra. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is among the movie’s associate directors.
Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, as well as Sumit Roy wrote Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which is produced by Dharma Productions.
