In the run-up to their wedding next week, the world wants to know all there is to know about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Now, Ranbir’s mother, actress Neetu Kapoor, has spoken up about her relationship with Alia, Ranbir’s soon-to-be daughter-in-law. Neetu recounted how she and her mother-in-law, Late Krishna Raj Kapoor, had a ‘amazing’ connection during a conversation. With her soon-to-be bahu Alia, Neetu aspired to develop a same type of bond.
In an interview with Etimes, Neetu admired Alia Bhatt and expressed her wish that the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress and the late Krishna Raj would have a similar relationship. She recalled how she used to consider her mother-in-law a friend and that she adored her more than her own son Rishi Kapoor. Neetu expressed her desire that she and Alia will have the same equation. At a recent Dance Deewane Juniors event, Neetu commended Alia Bhatt and disclosed that she is an admirer of her work. Ranbir’s mother, on the other hand, has remained tight-lipped about the wedding date.
Talking about her equation, Neetu told Etimes, “I hope I do when they get married and I want to. My relationship with my mother-in-law was outstanding. She loved me more than her son and I know it. We were friends and spoke about everything under the sun. In fact, I would complain about my husband to her (laughs!). We were very open. I hope I have the same equation with Alia because she is outstanding and amazing.”
Meanwhile, according to the latest reports, Ranbir and Alia Bhatt are planning to marry in their Pali Hill home Vastu. The pre-wedding activities will be held at RK House in Chembur. An India Today post on the couple’s honeymoon plans in Africa recently went popular on social media.
